Requirements for the Economics Major

Students in the Economics (B.A.) major must select one track:

Philosophical Track

The “Philosophical Track” emphasizes the historical, philosophical, and political applications of economic theory. This track is a good choice for students who want to pursue careers in business, law, or politics.

Mathematical Track

The “Mathematical Track” emphasizes applied data analysis utilizing statistical models. This track is a good choice for students who want to pursue careers in economic consulting, data analytics, actuarial sciences, or are interested in continuing onto graduate school in economics.
